Graham Jackson
President
Having been involved in the club for many years as a parent, manager, coach, and gear coordinator, Graham has worn many hats and really understands what makes the club tick. The club relies on an army of volunteers to create that ‘home away from home’, and Graham will oversee those volunteer armies through empowered sub-committees, working together for common, shared goals.
Matt Souter
Vice President
To work closely with the Head Coach in the recruitment, retention and on-going management of both external and parent coaches. Ensure the coaching message is delivered consistently across all age groups and teams. Point of contact for the playing group. Management and distribution of SJRU draw.
Samantha Lambert
Events & Social Media
By hosting a few casual events throughout the season as well as our annual fundraising cocktail party we aim to enhance the community feel of the club. Come to training, meet your friends for drinks, stay for dinner, support our club. Our social media channels will help us engage with our members and also attract new members, encourage some feedback and build loyalty to our club.
Greg Anderson
Secretary / Registrar
Fostering a culture of inclusiveness and a sense of belonging throughout each player’s journey with the club. Whether you join us for pre-season, the rep program, rugby sevens or the entire year, we want you involved. We aim to make Easts Junior Beasties a lighthouse to attract, recruit and retain aspiring young rugby players of all levels, across all ages and genders. This role will also manage the procedural and administrative requirements for board meetings and AGMs.
Paul Lee
Treasurer/Finance
Responsible for providing transparency and financial strategy to our membership with the goal of delivering viable, sustainable value to our current and future players, their families, and the local community.
Nick Humphrey
Member Protection Officer, Legal & Compliance
To participate in and enjoy rugby and everything it has to offer, we must oversee the safety of our members, our players, and our children. A duty of care to ensure a secure, safe and compliant running of the club. Adherence to numerous codes of conduct, we are committed to eliminating harm, any discrimination or harassment – on and off the field.
Joanne Kendrick
Rugby 7s Coordinator
Exploring opportunities to develop 7’s game events within the Junior Beasties club for both girls and boys!   Purpose: to foster 7’s rugby among our under-18 girls and boys, we’ll focus on creating an inclusive and skill-driven environment. Implementing specialized training sessions will emphasize agility, quick decision-making, and teamwork. Engaging experienced coaches to instil a passion for the dynamic nature of 7’s will be crucial. Regular friendly matches and tournaments will provide valuable exposure and build camaraderie. Emphasizing fair play, respect, and enjoyment will contribute to a positive experience, encouraging sustained interest in 7’s rugby among the under-16 age group at our rugby club.
Steve Morris
Revenue & Partnerships
To deliver revenue to the club through various mechanisms by engaging ‘the village’ to invest in our initiatives. With the intention of further building out our premium offering and taking the burden off players and families. One such vehicle is business-club partnerships – East Junior Beasties will create win-win partnerships that offer an unmatched opportunity for brands to deliver their messaging to an engaged and captive ‘tribe’ at a grass roots level, that packs a punch.
Brittany Staniforth
Girls Rugby Coordinator
In NSW, female club rugby participation has grown from 5% of total club players to close to 13% in 3 years, with girls and women now making up 35% of participants at Rugby 7s tournaments. Easts want to play a major role in driving female participation and the board has made the decision to have a board member dedicated to this unique opportunity. Expect to see initiatives, increased resources and effort focused on girls rugby.

Louise Higgins
Club Communications and Social Media
The ability to attract, inspire and retain the next generation of players is critical to club growth and sustainability. Communications is a core element to achieving this – to celebrate success and most importantly to make everyone feel welcome and included. Keeping existing players connected to the club is increasingly important to build and maintain awareness. Our social media should be an extension of this and should help us build the club brand, and attract new players. It is also key to keeping our club relevant in a fast paced world.
James Henderson
Tours Coordinator
James will head up Tours for the Beasties in his board role. Jimmy is a great rugby man, a clubman and has coached and managed for a number of years at Bays and Beasties.
Alex Toone
Senior Club, Schools & Minis Liason
To ensure the club sets and meets its vision and purpose, including a strong partnership with the senior club. At the core of our values is the fundamental belief in the power of people and the opportunity to deliver a ‘home away from home’ for our children. It takes a village to raise a child and everybody is welcome to lead or simply support. Inclusion is our mantra. Please join us.
Alex Thorpe
Matchday Coordinator
Responsible for match day preparation, setup and activities with the goal of running safe, fun games for all our members, officials, families and spectators.
Neasa Mellett
